QR codes
A QR code that turns the paper into audio
The QR code is the bridge between print and listening. Each issue gets its own code that never changes, so every printed copy keeps working for as long as someone has it.
One permanent code per issue
The code is created with the issue, before the PDF exists, and always points to that issue's listening page. Reprints, archives and copies passed between neighbours all reach the right edition.
Where to place it
Put the code on the front page near the masthead, at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide, with a short line such as "Scan to listen to this issue". High contrast and a quiet margin around the code make scanning easy on older phones.
What readers see after scanning
A simple page with large text and big buttons: the issue's pages, its articles, and a Play button. No app download, no account, no menus to hunt through.
Common questions
Will the code break if we change something later?
No. The code's address is fixed when the issue is created and cannot change.
Can we download the code for layout?
Yes. Download it from the issue page and place it in your layout like any other graphic.
